Steps to Setup Credit Card Processing

1. Apply for a merchant account 
  • with HSBC Bank USA 
  • through Provision, Inc and North American Bancard 
  • by completing the online application.
The online application for a merchant account is valid for
  • online credit card processing
  • credit card merchant account
  • internet merchant account
  • ecommerce merchant account
  • point-of-sale merchant account
  • wireless merchant account
  • contactless merchant account

2. Submit proper documentation with the merchant account application, if required by your credit card volume. (See credit card volume requirements in the "What You Need" page)
   
3. Pass the scrutiny of underwriting and have a merchant account number issued for your business.  You will be notified by email.
   
4. Setup your credit card terminals

if you have purchased credit card terminals from Provision, Inc OR 

--

you have qualified for the "FREE to use" terminal program
  • receive pre-programmed terminals from UPS or FedEx
  • just plug the terminals to a phone line and electrical outlet
  • terminals are ready to use "right-out-of-the-box"

if you are going to continue to use credit card terminals you already own
  • receive a copy of download instructions for your terminal by email
  • go through the download procedure for your terminal
  • call Customer Service for assistance, if needed at (800) 226-2273
     

All merchant accounts are referred to and processing services are provided by North American Bancard, a registered ISO/MSP of HSBC Bank USA, National Association, Buffalo, NY.
